Review: Catrice Million Styles Effect Top Coat - Gold Effect! (07 Unfold The Unlimited Gold)11:26
If you read a lot of my post, you'll now that I love gold. It's probably my favorite color (if that's even a color). Sparkly things make me happy and I am always on a search for fun gold top coats. Catrice Million Styles Effect Top Coat in Gold Effect gives you lovely little flakes of gold to bling up any manicure.
Nail polish has a rounded transparent glass bottle with black plastic top. In it is 10 ml of product and the regular price was 3.29€. Was, because I saw that it's already on sale since this product is leaving their regular line in fall and won't be sold anymore, so hurry, if you like it.
They have a bunch of styles in this Million Styles Effect line, but obviously I was all over that gold. I think there's also silver and some other effects.
Brush is slightly rounded at the edges and fairly wide. I like this, because it means you can cover entire nail really quickly.
It has transparent base with very small gold shimmer and tiny gold irregular flakes. I like that flakes are different sizes and different shapes, because it makes the look more realistic.
This goes on with ease and with one application you get fairly good enough amount of flakes and shimmer. It's more on the thicker side of consistency. I only use one coat, because I don't want it to cover the entire nail, just to add some enhancement.
The drying and wear of it is regular, but then I always use top coat on top of it, so I can't speak much about it.
The effect looks best over dark nail polishes, which is kind of logical, since gold flakes are fairly light. In spite of that, I love to wear it over pastel nail polishes, because it really give a subtle almost unnoticeable effect.
It's definitely very sophisticated effect that doesn't look too overdone or in your face and I love that about it. It reflects light, especially under sunlight.
I find that it's really easy to take off, because the shimmer and flakes are not too big.
As you can see I've tried it over pastel nail polish and it's really subtle.
Not many people like effect nail polishes, because a lot of them look too obvious. This one is definitely very subtle, and in my opinion, sophisticated. I like that the shimmer and flakes are small, because it's easier to take off and it looks more subtle, good for every day wear. Obviously I love it, because I like everything gold. If you find it interesting, you better buy it quickly, because it's going out of their regular line in fall.
